Tough things can happen, and we never want to minimize the toll that can take on life, relationships and marriage. It might make you want to hide behind a chair. And that's Ok for a little bit, but please peak your head out because there are beautiful things around the corner.
Through experience and talking with one another, and counselors who let us "dump our life bucket", we want you to know that you can live a life that has hope.
You are not alone. If you've found this blog, please know that you're not alone.
with a little history
Four days after Reagan was born, we got a call from the state of Florida that marked us and forever changed us. Reagan was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder called Glutaric Academia Type 1 (GA-1). That call sucked all the air out of the room. Click here to read about that call.
On April 8, 2014 Reagan suffered a metabolic crisis, or a severe stroke that damaged a portion of her brain, as a result, she acquired a movement disorder called Chorea. She lost everything. Every milestone was gone. Our lives were shattered. We ran through the gamete of emotions: anger, fear, depression, hopelessness.
Friend, if you are in that place now, can we tell you that we’ve been there? It’s normal to want to give up, but keep reading and most importantly keep fighting. God continues to unfold beautiful miracles and triumphs in our family. The ride is wild, so hop on and subscribe to our newsletter!
Let's start
In their hearts humans plan their course, but the LORD establishes their steps. - Proverbs 16:9
It's not a detour.
It's the way.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are My ways higher than your ways
and My thoughts than your thoughts. - Isaiah 55:9
Sometimes, the way
looks different.
